WHAT WE DO

Besides work on our plots we  attempt to bring people to a greater awareness of the holistic nature of organic agriculture. We encourage involvement from the community through school, college and university outreach programs. We attend and participate in Fairs and exhibitions. In order o cut out the middle man concept that would mean a higher price to a consumer, we have sought to maintain a public market presence so you can buy direct from the growers.  We now want to do more and reach a wider audience in a win win program. Some of our initiatives are outlined below.

Recent Initiatives

WWOOFING. Willing Workers on Organic Farms.

For several years OGCA members have been fortunate to offer space to people from all over the World who wish to experience Tropical organic farming in our small scale rural island farms.

Many of these interactions have been spontaneous. A weekend visit from a Dutch student, to a formal 3 month stay, sometimes in a tent.
Camp Organic Barbados.

To develop interactive community driven enterprises has been a long standing goal of the OGCA and aligning tourism and agriculture goes beyond selling food to a hotel.

We want visitors to enjoy weekends or their entire vacation staying on our various organic farms, eating fresh veg and expriencing first hand the Caribbean Country lifestyle.
